After a bad breakup that left her reeling and the death of her beloved grandmother, Lola fled to the little Cornish village of Polcarrow to lick her wounds and pursue her lifelong dream of running her own bakery. Drawn there by a mysterious note in her grandmother's recipe book, before long Lola's cafe is the beating heart of the community.
